Change the Baseline Period
Update the baseline period to generate projected values based on the latest historical data.
Note:
- The baseline period is set by the plan coordinator in the master plan.
- The baseline period cannot be changed when the plan project is in collaboration mode or in subplans.
- All subplans for the plan project will update to the new baseline period.
- Changing the baseline period will erase all projected plan values. To save these forecasted values, create a plan snapshot before changing the baseline period.
- By default, the projected values are generated based on the latest budgeted total cost of workforce. You can change the cost model that is used to generate these values in the Edit Configuration dialog. For more information, see The Baseline Period.
- In the planning grid, on the toolbar, hover over the Projected values button .
-
In the Baseline data drop-down list, select a time period to set as your baseline.
Note:
- Full historical periods are indicated by the Full period icon .
-
Partial periods are indicated by the Partial period icon .
Result: Projected plan values are recalculated for future periods beyond the baseline period. Any planned periods that occur before the baseline period will be hidden from the planning grid.
Tip: To show prior planned periods on the planning grid, click the Grid settings button on the toolbar.
